Health Projects Center (HPC), established in 1980 as a 503(c) non-profit organization, offers health-related programs to both health professionals and family caregivers. HPC serves the Monterey Bay region of California, and hosts the Del Mar Caregiver Resource Center, Santa Cruz Multipurpose Senior Services Program, and the Central Coast Area Health Education Center. It is also a founding partner in the Monterey Bay Geriatric Resource Center - providing resources and training in geriatrics for medical professionals.

Del Mar Caregiver Resource Center

Health Project Center’s Del Mar Caregiver Resource Center is part of a California-wide network of centers serving the need of caregivers serving people with brain impairments. Del Mar has served Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties with caregiver services since 1988. Del Mar provides caregivers with important services such as in-home respite care, family consultations, support groups and counseling.


Central Coast Area Health Education Center

Since 1981, HPC has been part of national network of Area Health Education Centers that work to improve the availability and quality of health professionals serving our communities.

Santa Cruz Multipurpose Senior Services Program

Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP) offers free social work and nursing services to help seniors stay independent in their homes. This process involves the client, a public health nurse, a social worker, family members, the client's doctor and community agencies. Other services that MSSP may be able to help arrange include: Adult Day Programs, In-Home Support Services, Transportation Services, Medical Equipment and Medical Monitoring.
