“During the annual reassessment for the MSSP in Santa Cruz County, I had the opportunity to assist one of our participants in getting his wheelchair repaired. This participant relies on a wheelchair due to a stroke. The brakes on one side of his wheelchair were worn out, causing it to move when his caregivers transferred him from the wheelchair to his bed. I was able to effectively communicate with his doctor, leading to a successful repair of the wheelchair.

“We advocate for our participant's to get what they need to continue living safely in their home.”
